The Search of Culture, Meaning, and Identity in a Melting Pot
During the course of my life, I have tried to find a definitive background and cultural understanding. With a family forming the true meaning of a “melting pot”, I have traveled through my childhood and young adult years being “ethnically confused”. Hoping to find meaning and a true identity by traveling from the European Renaissance, Colonial America, the origins of the slave trade, the Trail of Tears, to the Kentucky backwoods, my search begins here hoping to find meaning and a true identity.
